The troop spent the week of June 5 - 11 at
Camp Roy C. Manchester
on beautiful Kentucky Lake.

April 16th
Troop 1 attended the 2011
Riverbend District Merit Badge University
offered by the Owensboro Community College at OCC's main campus. Twenty
different merit badges were being offered, ranging from Aviation to
Veterinary Science.

March 26th
Troop 1 had 52
people attended "Scout Night" for the Nashville
Predators hockey team and we also got
to enjoy a rousing couple of games of Laser Tag. What a BLAST!

March 14th
was our
Court of Honor, the way only Troop 1 can do it!!!!

March 5th -
6th was our camping trip
to Sweet Potato Cave.

February 27th
was an Eagle Scout
Ceremony at Grace Episcopal Church congratulating
several of our new Eagle Scouts on a job well done.

Saturday
February 26th was our annual trip to the EEI
Merit Badge Day.

Troop 1
celebrated its
100th anniversary during Scout Sunday
at Grace Episcopal Church on February 6, 2011. The troop also
dedicated the new floodwall mural by marching from the church down Broadway
to the floodwall. Many former scouts, scout leaders and friends of
Scouting attended the mural dedication. There was a reception back at
the church following the dedication.

Troop 1 had
two sleds
compete in the Klondike Derby
that was held at Camp Roy C. Manchester the weekend of January 21-23.
The scouts also completed a
5 mile hike
on Sunday.

A number of
Scouts
from Troop 1 participated in the
WKU Merit Badge Day
on January 15.

Congrats
to all Scouts who made it to the
1st Annual Winter
Camp at Roy C. Manchester
that was held December 28 through January 1.
